Sweet Peas is an educational gymnastics program designed to promote physical, social and cognitive development in children six months to six years old. Early childhood provides important windows of developmental opportunity. Basic components of a child's neural development are genetically coded, however, trillions of finer neural connections are unprogrammed, and they are heavily influenced by enriching early childhood experiences. Sweet Peas Gymnastics provides movement and sensory based activities that are fun and developmentally loaded! This is our passion. The Sweet Peas Educational Gymnastics curriculum helps forge the the architecture of a child's brain that will serve him or her or a lifetime.
Founded in educational gymnastics, the Sweet Peas curriculum focuses on age appropriate gymnastics activities that foster balance, coordination, core strength, motor planning, bilateral awareness and flexibility. Taught in a social, collaborative environment, Sweet Peas provides important life lessons in self-awareness, courage, success and friendship. The Sweet Peas curriculum is centered around excellent, progressive gymnastics training that also incorporates color recognition, language development, spatial relations, music awareness and counting skills. Our Sweet Peas students learn how to listen to their teacher, follow instructions and wait for their turn. They learn to enjoy their own achievements and to encourage and applaud the success of their friends. We know that every Sweet Pea learns at his or her own pace. The Sweet Peas program engages children through expertly designed lesson plans that provide structure and productivity in the gymnastics classroom while at the same time allowing flexibility and accommodation for each unique child. This is it! Real gymnastics. Real learning. Really fun.
Attention Sweet Peas students: If your child will turn one year older within just a couple of months after we start, we would love to put them in the next age level class so that they can remain in the same class for our entire season. For example, we start classes the week of September 5th. Your child is now 3, but will turn 4 on October 1st. We'd like to bump them up to the 4 Pea class. This only applies to children with a birthday in September or October.
Our "pea pod" is not located at Inspire Dance and Tumble. It is just steps away located at:
23 South Park Street, Unit B, Croton, OH 43013
This building sits on the corner of High Street and Park Street right at the stop sign. The pea pod is next door to Twyford Insurance and diagonal (across the street) from the Bouncin' Bean.
There is only one EXTREMELY small waiting area for ONLY ONE parent per family. Please do not bring your entire family to sit in our waiting space. Parents may wait outside for older students that can go potty by themselves, but please plan to remain close (within visual distance) in case we need you.
We are always adding new classes to accommodate your needs! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your availability and your child's DOB. Be as broad as possible with ALL the days and time ranges that will work for your schedule. We'll keep note of it and once we have enough interest for your age group, we'll start a new class and notify you!
Sweet Peas classes will run along the same schedule as our dance and tumbling classes at IDT Main Sept-May. If you must withdrawal before the end of May, please be sure to follow our withdrawal policy listed on the fees and registration page of this website.
